Stories Between Two Worlds

Documenting the voices, journeys, and identities of Nigerians building lives across the globe through podcasts, documentaries and film.

A Nigerian Diaspora Story

Preserving voices, memories and experiences across borders, cultures and generations.

01 / The Idea

The Nigerian diaspora is one of the great untold stories of our time.

At Naijaspora Media, we preserve the voices, experiences and memories of Nigerians building lives across borders, cultures and generations. Through podcasts, documentaries, and film, we tell the stories that connect us all.

Stories rooted in identity. Conversations that shape the future.

Flags Held High

A community that carries its identity wherever it goes.

This is the untold story we exist to tell: loud, proud, and lived in the open.

02 / Our Story

Every story begins with a question.

For Naijaspora Media, that question was simple: How do we preserve the voices, experiences, contributions, and memories of Nigerians whose lives are shaped by more than one world?

Founded by Dr Bisi Adigun, a Nigerian storyteller whose journey across Nigeria, Britain, Ireland, and the United States has been shaped by questions of identity, migration, and belonging, Naijaspora Media grew from a lifelong commitment to preserving stories.

Bisi Adigun, PhD

Founder & Storyteller

A life shaped by movement.

A holder of a BA Hons, an MA, and a PhD in Drama, as well as an MA in Film and Television Studies, Dr Adigun is a storyteller, theatre maker, filmmaker and a cultural historian. His career began in Nigerian broadcasting. A move to the UK for three years, followed by more than two decades in Ireland, transformed those professional experiences into a personal understanding of what it is to feel like being at home among strangers, and a stranger at home.

He is currently a Visiting Scholar at San José State University, where his work explores transnationalism and the intersection of migration and theatre. Drawing on experiences across three continents, he founded Naijaspora Media to document, share, and preserve the stories of Nigerians living across the world.

Two Sides of the Other Side

Guided by the Yoruba aphorism that it is the head that knows where the legs are heading, this documentary follows five Obafemi Awolowo University graduates who migrated to London in the mid 1990s. Thirty years on, they reflect on their journeys, what they would do differently, and the realities of life as Nigerian immigrants in the UK, offering a candid reminder that the grass is not always greener on the other side.

The Boy Who Never Became A President

At just six years old, Nigerian Ademola “Dizzy” Giwa dreamed of becoming the President of Nigeria, a dream he shared with President Olusegun Obasanjo when he presented him with flowers during his 2002 visit to Ireland. Tragically, that dream was cut short just before Ademola’s 26th birthday, when he was fatally stabbed by a friend during an altercation over a €100 debt and a stolen scooter. This is his story.
